Seeing Omicron


I had this idea to see the flow and ebb of the virus as it transitioned from Delta to Omicron (10/31/21-1/20/22).

Making numbers visceral, it's possible to observe that there is a kinship to other ephemeral, natural phenomena: a flower opening and wilting, the ocean temporarily filling a depression on the beach at high tide, or leaves reaching the peak of color in fall before fading.
